A 6th Ward native, Ruth has taught mosaic classes at MECA, the after school institution housed in the historic Dow School of which she attended elementary school. She has a mosaic at 6th Ward neighborhood bodega and bbq restaurant Henderson and Kane, and has shown her works in exhibitions at HCC and Arts District Houston. Her Imagine Space Art Car has visited the Houston Cinema Arts Festival Cinespace Series, Texas Music Festival at the University of Houston, Meridian Art Festival in Mississippi, the streets of New Orleans, and various festivals and schools in Houston and beyond.
